Default Why do I get duplicate reminders in calendar?

I installed Oulook 2007 onto a new computer and imported my info from my old
computer. Everything seemed fine but then I began receving 2 reminders for
every calendar entry. I am pretty sure it started after the first auto
archive session ran. I can see a second calendar now listed under'ny
calendars' that says 'Calendar in Personal folders'. Right clicking it does
not give me the option of 'delete this calendar' as it is grayed out.

One possible cause is the fact that you imported. That;s never the best or
even a good way to move data from one Outlook instance to another. It loses
data and tends to cause other undesired side-effects.

What type(s) of accounts do you have? When you click FileData File
Management, how many data files are listed? Which one is specified as the
default?

I imported my Outlook pst file at the advice of local computer store 'experts'-how else should I do it? The default file is Personal folders-'outlook.pst'-the file I transferred. Also is Archive Folders-new archive.pst, a folder I use for autoarchiving.

The other is Personal Folders-'New personal folders (1)..I don't knwo
where this one comes from.

I di dnot have duplicate notifications (one from each calendar) until after
the first autoarchiving on this computer. then the second calendar appeared,
and even if it is not checked and not visible its notices come up with my
calendars notices.
