Hello Russ,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I had seen that article and tried that but was
not able to find my file or folder to change the properties. As said I am not
highly adept at Outlook. What I did was create a pab address book since I
couldn't create another Outlook one. But I was having a problem on how to
convert it to an Outlook folder then do as your article suggested. Is that
the correct way to create a folder (create a pab) and then convert it, or is
there some other method? I have Outlook 2003.
Thanks again, regards,
Van

Message is correct. You can only have one address service in your Outlook
profile and wouldn't need more. You can add any folder you want to that
service by enabling it as an electronic address book in its properties.
Plenty of documentation:

Hello,
I am trying to add an additional address book or folder (not sure how
structured) to my existing Outlook contacts book. When I go through the
Email
accounts to do so and select the address book type as Outlook I get an
error
message saying "This account or directory type already exists and cannot
be
specified twice." So I create a personal address book and try to convert
to
Outlook address book and/or try to designate it as an email address book
but
can't find where to do so.
I'm not that adept with Outlook and the OL documentation didn't seem to be
too helpful.
Can anyone tell me how I can add my new address book to the Outlook
address
book folder?
Thanks,
Van
