Outlook would only show images in the preview pane that were embedded in an
HTML email.

Otherwise it is working as expected. If I get an email with lots of
pictures as attachments, I usually drag and drop them to a windows folder
and view them from there.

Some enterprising folks have used the long Canadian winter as motivation for
producing some software that can ease this unfortunate annoyance.

moved on...........managed to import my settings in Outlook and all's fine
