Default how to download without opening spreadsheets

I saw inetexplorer in the title, I thought this was the place. If you can
point me to the right newsgroup I'll be glad to move on. I'm not
deliberatley trying to be a pain in the ass.

Please disregard this question - I had a major brain fart, my problem is
with Internet explorer, not outlook express. Sorry.

Now you are in the Outlook Express 6 newsgroup.

When I download files that are in spreadsheet format,
they open with Excell. I just want the download to proceed without
opening the file. It used to work that way when I was using Win 95 but
since I upgraded to XP it won't just do a simple download without opening
the file. How do I fix this?
