I think I'm following you, but the emails for this distribution list
aren't
in AD. I'll explain a little further:

Our retail department wants to create a distribution list of all part
timer's cell numbers to send an email-to-text message (their personal cell
number at the carrier's email domain - eg. )
to
notify them of available shifts. Someone would maintain the DL and then
send
to an Admin to update the DL in the GAL.

However, once posted to the GAL, they don't want anyone to be able to see
the email addresses in the DL when opened (privacy concerns, etc). They
should only be able to see the contact names.

Can this be done if the email addresses aren't in AD?

If you create nested distribution groups within it they can't.

For example if you make a DL called DLS: All Yourcompanynamegoeshere
E-mail
Users, instead of adding in each person one at a time put them into a DL
according to their AD group. Then add the groups to the DLS. That way,
when
a user checks the properties of the DLS, they will only see the nested
distribution groups.

Does that make sense?

I need to create a distribution list that is saved in our Global
Address

List
(that all employees can access), but don't want those who are looking
at

the
contents of the distribution list to be able to view the listed
contacts'
email addresses. (Note this is before sending an email to the dist.
list
using Bcc. Is this possible?

Any input is much appreciated. Thx.
