Afternoon, i have a user that has pointed out something that does not work for them but for everyone else it does and i have never really paid much attention to it.
When the user enters a name in the to field and clicks send it resolves the name from the address list and sends the email.
The next time the user goes to type the name again it lists the addresses that are similar that have been typed in. which is what you expect but when the user closes outlook down and then opens it again and goes to compose an email to a user he has sent an email before it does not give you the drop down list to select the name.
I have tried this on my pc and others and the result is the same i type a name in of someone i have never emailed before, resolve it using the check name and then close the email then open a new email and start typin the name again and it remembers and appears.
I have checked a few forums and the best i got was Tools Options E-Mail Options Advanced Email Options Enable Tick box Suggest names while composing To. This was already enabled, anyone know anything else about this setting where the list is remembered from if its a file on the PC or a registry setting or if its something silmpliar than that?
I could re-create the users exchange profile to see if that fixes it but i'd rather do that as a last resort if i can't find out about the files or registry settings?
Thanks in advance for reading
