Good news!!

as we have recently upgraded to 2007 from 2000 i had a look at my settings and i have 2 copies of all the files as i have 2 outlook profiles, both sets of files are named the same as the profile.

After checking the users PC they had one set of files named the same as the exchange profile however the nickname file was not .nk2 but .Nick i assumed that this was not upgraded during the install and deleted the file, the user then started an email typed in a name and resolved it, closed the email and nothing happened. However when outlook was closed it created a new file with the .nk2 extention. so thats fantastic the problem has been resolved!

Is there a tool to migrate users outlook profiles including these settings?

Other users have complained that there outlook shortcuts are missing so i guess these are the same issue possible and have not migrated across, tho i have had a quick look and the user has a .fav file which accordding to http://www.sitedeveloper.ws/tutorials/outlook.htm this is where the outlook shortcuts are saved and i do not have one instead i have a outlook profile.xml with the lines below so i guess that this is the new format for them?
