Yes, I sync with a blackberry. So you say that is the reason birthday dates
don't appear in the display tab? Is there a way to have the birthday dates
appear since you say they are not deleted, even though the value in the field
went to "none". Thank you kindly for your help.

this. The calendar item is separate from the contact and is not deleted
when the field is set to 'none'.
