OE on Win XP Home
The drive format had nothing to do with the situation.

Yup, evidently when WinXP copied over the settings, it included a shortcut
to the old OE on a second drive. The fact that the two drives had
different
formats (the old one, of course, FAT 32) probably didn't help the
situation.
