change 'master outlook file' and order of pst data files in fo
I did that and at first I was not sure it worked, I needed to close and
reopen Outlook for the files to switch places in the folder list and change
the default.
However, the calendar is still tagged to the OTHER .pst file I have. The
calendar that came with the .pst file that is now the default is more up to
date and the one I want to have default to..... I was surprised that once the
..pst file was the default that the calendar would not come with it.
Thanks,

PS I trust when you said copied data file to desktop you didn't mean that
literally, not a good idea to locate a data file on the actual desktop
display.Locate in your Documents Folder

I think that is what I want. Because I have copied a .pst file from my
laptop to my desktop I now have TWO "Folders" (actually three with the
archive folder.
The issue is that the .pst file that I copied over from my laptop, I want
that to be the DEFAULT folder. I want to send and receive from there and
I
want that calendar and address book to be used, NOT the one that was (as
still is) on the desktop.
I want to swap the roles of the two .pst files, making the one that was
moved over the primary one and listed first and called the "Outlook
Master
File".
Thanks,

I have a copy of pst data from a laptop I would like to now put on my
desktop. I copied the pst file to the desktop and put it in the folder
with
the other current pst file I was using on the desktop.
I would now like to make the newly transfered pst file the "Outlook
Master
File" so that the calendar, address books etc are listed FIRST on the
folders
list (followed by the current pst data and the archived pst files) and
that
it would be this calendar and address book that automatically opens.
I remember doing this once before, I have looked at old notes and tried
to
find it in the threads but have had no luck.
Thanks,
