If you get a lot, this tool does this and more. You might find it
worthwhile.

Is there any way to save an email without the attachments?
For instance, I get a nice chatty 2KB note about the recent
all-you-can-eat rib fest from Bubba, with 2MB of photos of gustatory
excess attached.
It would be great to somehow "strip" the photos [which I've already saved
outside OE] but keep the text, so I can save it in my OE folder "Bubba"
without that 2MB of extra baggage but with the proper 'to', 'from' and
time.
My hunch is the answer is "no", but just wanted to make sure there wasn't
something obvious I'd missed.
I've got my own (PITA) workarounds, but would be interested to hear any
relatively smooth suggestions.
