Brian, I am talking about the case, where you *don't* realize it.
Please read the OP, thank you. I specifically asked that "deleted
items" be off-topic here.

Keeping "Deleted Items" off-topic when you're speaking of deleted items is
pretty hard to do. The item you delete gets put into Deleted Items and will
remain there until you DO realize you've deleted it, which is a premise to
your entire scenario. It is an immanently appropriate topic.
