Hello,
I am having the same trouble Sara is having. PST is not available as a data
file type under the Control Panel - Mail, and even a removal and re-install
did not fix this.
The "Repair" option was one of the first things I tried. This also did not
work.
I cannot figure out how to make it available. As a result, Outlook is
completely non-operational.

one of the items needed to complete this operation. It might have been
deleted"

Hi,
I have installed outlook 03 and am unable to open it. When I try I get
an
error message saying "Unable to open default email folders. Outlook
could
not start because a data file to send and receive email could not be
found.
To add a data file, such as a personal folder ....." The program then
closes.
I have then gone through control panel as suggested but in data files -
the
only thing listed is "business contact manager" file name "not
available"
When I take the add option - The only thing listed to add is "business
contact manager"
I have tried creating an email address through control panel hoping
that
would prompt it to create a file but no luck. I have already imported
mail
and account information but I cant open the program (and perhaps the
order
of
the import might be where the problem began??)
Any help would be hugely appreciated - I have tried all I know ..
BTW - running windows XP
Thanks to all,
Sara
