I have a tablet computer that I use remotely and a home desktop computer
both running Windows Vista and Outlook 2007. Currently I am using the
Windows Vista Synch Center and offline files on the tablet to manage
file synchroniztion. In order to share my contacts I am using a .pst
file that gets synched between both computers. The trouble I am having
is opening the .pst file on the tablet in Outlook directly from the
Offline Folder. My goal would be to have Outlook open the file from the
Offline Files folder so I am always opening the latest synchronized copy
of the .pst. When I try to open the .pst in outlook from the Offline
Folder it generates an error that says something about an invalid
switch. The weird thing is if I copy the .pst file out of the Offline
Files folder and onto the desktop Outlook opens the file with no
problem. I know there are some differences about Offline Files compared
to a normal file system file, but I am wondering if there is a way for
Outlook to open this synchronized Offline .pst. Any help on this one
would be very much appreciated.
