I was deleting what I thought was either excess backup or archive

information
from the file used when responding to a message asking me if I wanted to
backup or archive info. The next time I tried to open Outlook, I got a
"Microsoft Office Outlook" message box stating: "unable to open your

default
email folders. The file C;\.......\Outlook\outlook.pst is not a personal
folders file.", and the program shut down and would not open. I tried

using
the Repair option in the Office Installation menu. I then removed/deleted

the
entire Office 2003 package using the Add/Remove Programs option in Control
Panel, then completely re-installed Office from scratch. I got the same

error
message. I tried using the "scanpst.exe" file, but there's no .pst file
present for it to try and repair. I tried importing/exporting a .pst file
(CONTACTS) from an Office 2000 installation on another computer, but I

can't
open Outlook 2003 to get to the Import/Export option on the Files menu.

What
can I do to get Outlook back and running properly? Thank you.
