Default OE6 "Create Mail" problem

Always state your current IE version and current full Windows version (e.g.,
WinXP SP3) when posting in a forum or newsgroup. Please do so in your next
reply.

I have just been trying to to scan a document to email from my "HP
Photosmart 2575 All-in-None Printer . Scanner . Copier). During his
process
I was prompted to configure "Microsoft Outlook"

Your printer requires a Full MAPI Mail Client to scan a document to email.
OE is a Simple MAPI client.

Is OE still configured as your default Mail Client?

If Office or Outlook 2003 installed?

Finally 2 days ago I carried out a "full installation of Windows XP
followed
by a full "Windows Update", not sure if this is relevant but though it
worth
metioning.

Why did you reinstall Windows?

Was IE7 or IE8 installed *before* you reinstalled Windows?

Did you do a Repair Install or a clean install?

this.

I then Scanned my document to file with the intention attaching it to an
email in OE6.

However when I click on "Create Mail" I repeatedly get the message
"Outlook
Express has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for
the
inconvenience." with the option to send an error report and this problem
has
only started since trying to san to email.

Can anyonr please help?
