with this pop up; it's better than having a computer that does not work.

Try deleting the (usually hidden) file
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat (on
XP)
or
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat (on Vista or 7).
