While it may not offer me any extra protection, it sure is nice to have
them directed out of my Inbox folder with a rule. I just redirect them to
the default Junk E-mail folder; definitely don't need an extra folder to
monitor ;-)


You are, of course, correct and your value lies in the fact the scanning
program is server-side. I assumed client-side scanning, which is probably
unwarranted without additional information.
