This is a two part question dealing with OE.
1. I get an e-mail(spam) from what appears to be from myself. "To" and
"From" are the same. I can't block sender 'cause the system thinks it's
my
real e-mail address.
2. Had another spam come in and it placed a web page address in different
locations, including History, on my system. I thought I just deleted but
could I have done something or is there a way for this to happen w/o me
doing anything?
suggestion/comments pelase,
1. A spammer technique, apparently to evade filters by taking advantage
of people's unwillingness to block their own email address. Potentially
filterable in MSOE by using an "AND" condition while checking both the
sender and the recipient IP addresses.
2. Unless there is a new vulnerability about, that is indicative of a
poorly secured mail client. MSOE should _not_ be allowed to run scripts
for just that reason. By default, MSOE is in the "Restricted sites"
zone, so that should not have happened. Did you change the MSOE security
zone, perhaps?

Thanks on #1. Doesn't happen a lot but wondering how it happens at all.
#2. Not sure what I did or how this happened. Never happened before but
there's always a first, for me.
Been having problems with this system, internet cable connection either slow
or dropped, slow in opening programs, etc.etc. so need to check WHAT
settings?
(I keep temp files clean and run defrag 2x a month.)
