the CD for outlook

Please can anyone help me as I am getting the following error message

The extension configuration file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11\ADDINS\msspc.ecf" could not be installed. There is an
error
in the syntax or format of the file. This is what appears after I have
downloaded Outlook from a CD-ROM
