Default Multiple picture frames problem

The line indicates that you are reading/writing an HTML format message
and that the portion you are looking at is the original text in a
replied or forwarded message.

The four-headed arrow indicates that you are in a message composition
window which means that you have started a reply or forward of the
message. The cursor means that you can drag the picture elsewhere in
the message. And since your are in the message composition window, you
can delete the picture.

I'm receiving emails that have pictures in them. These mails have a
vertical
blue line running down the left hand side. As I scroll down the page,
I see
the cursor change from an arrow to one with four little arrows
pointing
north, east, south, and west. When I click on it , I get a frame
around the
picture. I could understand one but, as I scroll down the page I get
one
after another, sometimes as many as 10. It' like they are different
layers.
If I delete any one of them, the picture disappears. Is there a way to
reduce
these multiple frames to just one?

Thanks, Jim
