Missing posts???
Obviously I have posted an attached screenshot in the post above, is there
any sensitive personal data shown that may be a security risk??
If so, what is the best method to use. ( I tried to send it unzipped at
around 280kb but got an error saying it was to large)
Cheers....Steve.

Hi PA,
Oh dear!!!! I'm to say the least......a little puzzled?????
Yes!! when I clicked on the link it opened the newsgroup in my OE upper
window pane downloaded for a little while (synchronized??) and showed the
messages in the newsgroup..........BUT now I have two versions.
One existing version "with" my "missing" post showing as the message above
this one dated:-
Compacting........or rather not quite.... 03 February 2010 17:31(this is
the post I sent the other day when I asked you to hold on in jest of
course
One dated...01 February 2010 23:50
The other....03 February 2010 13:13(these two "have" actually vanished,
even I have never seen them)
I think it will be easier if I send some screenshots.....if I can that
is????
Cheers...........Steve

I thought so. When composing a post or email in Word, only use ENTER
(once)
to begin a new paragraph. To begin a new line when necessary, use
SHIFT+ENTER.
You are not "sending (an) email" when posting to this newsgroup.
What does clicking on the following link do on your computer? =
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...tlooke xpress

Yes I do compose in word normally, then P&C onto here, point taken will
close gaps in future.
That being said, you're access this newsgroup via the MS
newsserver
news://msnews.microsoft.com, right?
I have no idea, how do I find out? I just followed your instructions to
access the newsgroups via OE and as said they are listed in my folders
list - I just select ctrl +w and select "subscribe" to choose the
newsgroup
I need.
And I am quite happy with this method.
I don't know what you mean by "MS newsserver", as far as I know these
posts
get sent out the same route as my normal emails, i.e via my outgoing
ISP.
I am mistified as to why you cannot see my "original" email, yet your
can
see this thread, as I said I can now see the other thread/post listed
right
obove this one.
Should I send the original email yet again?

OT: I've purposely not edited your quoted reply below to illustrate all
of
the unnecessary spacing between paragraphs, etc. Are you composing
replies
in OE or, e.g., Word?
Can I ask, if a post sent to a newsgroup does not get through, would I
receive a not delivered notification?
No.
As most, or nearly all of my posts are getting through, could you
explain
why my alias is less than ideal, an then I can alter it.
Try changing it to invalid_invalid@, invalidinvalid@ or just invalid@:
There
shouldn't be any periods before the [AT] symbol. Then again, OE "View
|
Current View | Show replies to my messages" would no longer show your
earlier posts as "yours" after you do so.
P.S. Just in case you cannot see it, my message/post has arrived on
the
newsgroup in my OE newsgroup...
They've not shown up here nor in web-based newsgroup (for me at least):
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...outlookexpress
That being said, there have been all sorts of "synchronizing" problems
with
the newsservers since April 2009 or so but usually posts made & read
via
NNTP (a newsreader) have not been effected.
That being said, you're access this newsgroup via the MS newsserver
news://msnews.microsoft.com, right?

Hi PA and thanks for your reply,
I changed the mail ID from my email address early Dec 09, when I was
alarmed
to discover it "published" on the internet accessed newsgroups, I have
accessed the newsgroups many times successfully since the change as I
have
finally for the thread above and for this one. Quite what happened to
the
missing two posts I am mystified, they show as being sent in my sent
items
folder?
Can I ask, if a post sent to a newsgroup does not get through, would I
receive a not delivered notification? I can't see how it be returned
if
it
does not have my email address.
What happens to them, are they stuck on a server somewhere or do they
get
deleted?
I have always accessed the newsgroups via my OE and you have
personally
been
keeping me afloat for around 6 or 8 years now.
As most, or nearly all of my posts are getting through, could you
explain
why my alias is less than ideal, an then I can alter it.
Many thank
Steve
P.S. Just in case you cannot see it, my message/post has arrived on
the
newsgroup in my OE newsgroup, it's the next one up. well on my screen
anyway

Were you accessing this newsgroup via the MS newserver or were you
accessing it via your ISP-provided newsserver?
I can guarantee you that your mail alias
has
something to do with it.
PS: Your repost hasn't shown up here either though it made it to
Google
Groups somehow:

To this newsgroup:-

Has anyone found them or know of their whereabouts, as I am
beginning
to
get
quite concerned?
Have they been kidnapped or taken to another newsgroup?
