I have done all that you have said as far as making sure I have 2007 Word
with 2007 Outlook and the spellcheck only works when the email is "new" not
when I a replying. Any suggestins for help with that?

Outlook 2007 without Word uses a stub of Word that does not include
the -as-you-type spell check. You need full Word installed for that.
