why does my calendar hang when it is opened
PS, now do you add a new profile in Outlook 2000.
Your advice to another user points at the control panel and the mail icon,
but the option for profile is not visible as the icon selection generates the
add new mail account dialouge box.

Many thanks for your reply... yes I understand now that more detail is
helpful.. sorry.
The Outlook version is Outlook 2000 within Office 2000.
No, no other folder hangs, and all else functions.
No I have not tried a new profile but I will give that a go.

Have you tried a new mail profile? Does any other folder hang when
accessed? What version of Outlook?

After furious head scratching, allena asked:
| I have a fully functioning MS Outlook installation except when I open
| my calendar the egg timer appears and the calendar does not open.
| I have checked the system date time and location, the IE defaults and
| other basic checks. I have even uninstalled Office and reinstalled
| it.
| All tools and applications are running from the hard disks.
| Can anyone suggest a solution please?
