Same here. It downloads OK, but installation fails. Same result from
Windows Security Centre Automatic Updates and from Windows Update via IE7.
Same result when OL running or not running.

Deleted folder containing download and tried again - same result.

What is the procedure for complete removal of download registry entries and
control and data files so that download and installation can be repeated
absolutely from scratch?

XP SP2 + all security patches / OL 2003 SP2

The OL 2003 junk email filter works really well, and I have seen no problems
with any previous update.
