Outlook Resource Permissions
Just found this. I guess this will be unattainable till we upgrade to
Exchange 2007.

calendars. I have read set to none, but I have the free/busy time set to
publish out 12 months. I have the write settings checked for create items
and edit own and delete items set to own. In the other settings group I
have folder visible checked. These seem like the appropriate settings but
once I try to book the resource I get this message:
"You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this
object. se the folder contact or your system administrator. Unable to
directly book a resource for this meeting."
Now I know if I change one setting, I can get this to work but then too
much is visible. If I change the default permissions on the read portion
to full details, then I can book the resource. That's because that one
option bumps the level of permissions from Custom to Author. This is too
much since the users can read the meeting details. Is there something I
am missing?

With Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2007 or later, you can set the permissions
to Free/Busy time only.
Otherwise, restrict access to the folder and they would only be able to
see Free/Busy times via the scheduler.
