I have had this same problem before and unfortunately it has recently
resurfaced. It's driving me nuts!
I just tried (and re-tried) EVERYTHING you said in this email and I
still have a problem. When I click on a hyperlink in IE, everything
works great. If I copy the link and insert it in either Google or IE,
it comes right up. If I click on a hyperlink in an OE message, I get
a lot of disk activity but nothing happens.

in my case ie7 is installed, so what does that mean? i've tried all of the
other suggestions and so far no luck.
