If one switches on the high contrast option, the possibility to get
text in
colour disapears in both Outlook Express and Gmail (via IE7).
I switched the high contrast option off and improved the readibility
of the
screen by using larger characters and changing various colours.
Problems solved.

I suspect that the above changes were made intentionally by the
"Expert". So you'll have to figure out which settings give the
customer
the best overall experience.

This customer has sight problems. Some "expert" has changed a lot
of
settings
in his computer, some good, some bad.
One of the consequences of his actions is that Outlook Express will
not
allow text to be written in colour.
All other HTML functions work fine (font, bold, etc.) but colour
does
not.
Also, if a message in composed in colour in Wordpad or Word, then
copied to
OE, the same happens: the text becomes black.
As colour differences are very important to this elderly gentleman,
a
solution woudl be appreciated.
