Hello,

sounds like the folder is corrupted.

Create a new folder (e.g. Inbox Copy) and move messages from the Inbox you
want to *keep* to the new folder. leave the messages you want to delete in
the Inbox

Go to tools options maintenance store folder

navigate to the folder shown in the text box

close outlook express

delete the file named Inbox.dbx in the folder

start outlook express, it will create a brand new empty Inbox.dbx . move all
your messages from the new folder (e.g. Inbox copy) back to Inbox and delete
inbox copy.
