Default .email extension

The problem's caused by the mail client and/or formatting previous senders
have used. Not much of anything you can do about it other than what you
learned in this thread.

Of course, you could always try opening the message & attachment via the
account's web-mail page inbox.

No bet. LoL However Google search always refers to MSM as the problem, no
cures though.
But what good does that do me for opening these type of files direct from
attachment?

[I'll betcha $10 that one of the previous senders of the Forwarded
message
was an AOL user.]

The message was forwarded by a person, , and it had been
forwarded to him previously. Remember I CAN open it if I save and change
to
.EML. It shows as a inline picture and text, none of which was viewable
when
file type was .email.[ I wouldn't know how to tell if MS Outlook was
ever
involved unless this is some help. From senders properties::
-Mailer: MSN 9
X-MimeOLE: Produced By MSN MimeOLE V9.60.0053.2200

Please define "received from MSN"?

Has the message been (repeatedly) forwarded and/or sent by someone
using
MS Outlook?

Opening ".email" extension attachments received from MSN results in
a
screen showing code rather than page. I have .email file extension
set
to
outlook explorer.
I Google many others saying this but no fixes. Can anyone here
recommend
a
way to have these open in OE6 or IE6-sp3.
