Been getting several spam e-mails with "close to the same" address.
I block email then go to Tool-Msg Rules-Block Sender list and modify
(take out everything on left of @).
Now I'm getting spam from "close to same address" on right side of @.
ex: & ,
etc., etc.
Here's my question- instead of leaving everything to the right of the
@ what happens if I block secure.com? And should I leave in the .com?
IOW- will everything that has "secure" in it be blocked or am I
wasting my time.
thanks for any suggestions,
It'll never work because spammers continually change things to avoid
just that sort of thing. Does your ISP have spam control and is it
turned on?
Otherwise you really need a 3rd party program that can use blocklists on
known spammers to tag or delete the mails that are spam.
Usually people just divert tagged mails to a special folder so they
can check it for good mail now and then, and delete the rest. But by
eliminating entire domains and countries, you'll get a LOT less spam in
your inbox. IMO
