That didn't answer either of my questions.
If the size of the email is not very large, then the email has links to
pictures on the Web. You will have to be connected to the Internet to
download the pictures. After the pictures are downloaded, they are placed
in Temporary Internet files. The pictures will be available until
Temporary Internet files is emptied, or OE closed.
The server containing the pictures may have been done or you weren't
connected to the Internet.

I never heard of CTRL - F3
This morning the same message opened with all the pictures showing!????
