Default "Hot Linking" to a photo in the same email

It is not that simple. You have to create the link and give the
picture an A name tag.

Sure it is. There's nothing complex about that if you've ever done a
web page or two or even just read how to create links and jump to
specific locations whether it's on the same page, a different page, or a
different site. I've done it several times on the sites I work on,
including my own. In fact, I have pictures linked to other pictures,
which are in turn stacked, showing in the heriarchy as a single pic but
in reality is a "stack" of pics. An anchor is an anchor is an ... and a
link is a link is a ... , basically. Stacks require a little more work
but even they are simply once you get it set up.

Rather than wondering how to do it, you seem more interested in debating
how complex something is, which is a "ymmv" subject and possibly
different for each person depending on their expertise levels. So I'll
just leave it at that and thus leave this thread. Talk to yourself if
you wish.

Is it possible to have a clickable link in the text of an email that
will "jump" to a photo that is inserted farther down in the email?

Sure. Just enter the link address.
