When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to
use. It will help you to both identify and remove any

HijackThis locks up near the end of the scan.


If you have a very large number of sites in Trusted Sites zone, it's not
unusual for HijackThis to appear to "lock up" while it scans those zones.
Be patient.

If no joy, try scanning with HijackThis in Safe Mode
