Check your mode of Outlook under Help-About, second line should tell you.
Sounds like you are using it in Corporate or Work group mode,

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Peter Brown asked:

| I'm running office 2000 outlook and I have two email accounts (one
| home, one work). Trouble is that the home account is the default one
| and when I get a work email I can't reply because it obviously tries
| to reply from the default home account. In Outlook Express you could
| choose which account to send the email from. Can't you do this in
| Outlook 2000?
|
| Peter
