Default Microsoft Outlook Error at Startup

Jim Stanaway wrote:

Thanks Brian for the info. but I am not sure how to do the things you
suggested. I have never used Regedit before and thus don't know how
to go about deleting my current profile as you suggested. I would
need step by step instructions so I don't end up screwing up the
registry and really be in trouble.

If you decide not to use Corporate/Workgroup mode, write back and I'll
detail it.

Thus, how do I go about reconfiguring Outlook to use
Corporate/Workgroup mode? This sounds to be the best alternative. I
can't see where Outlook allows me to change to the Corp/workgroup
mode.

Click ToolsOptionsMail Setup. There should be a "Reconfigure" button
there. The button will say "Reconfigure Mail Support" or "Reconfigure
Outlook", or something like that. I don't recall the exact words. Keep in
mind that if you do this, you will not be able to access IMAP mail accounts.
If you don't use an IMAP account, there should be no issue.
