Default Inbox folder location

Tools Options Maintenance Store folder will reveal the location of
your current Identity's store
(http://www.insideoe.com/files/store.htm#storemain). Write it down.

In WindowsXP, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as
hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden Files
and Folders under Start Control Panel Folder Options View.

To share your store with another user (i.e., one who's using a separate User
Profile in WinXP), see
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_o..._share_address

It's also possible for 2 or more users of an email address to be able to
access all incoming messages without sharing a store.

If you'd like information on the above, let us know.

I upgraded to XP Professional. I was using XP Home before and had it
working. I can't figure out how to change where the mbx files are. When I
go to properties, it shows me where they are, but won't let me change it.

Thanks,

Joel

Windows version?

It's possible to share your entire store with other users of a WinXP
machine, but not just the inbox.

It's also possible for 2 or more users of an email address to be able to
access all incoming messages without sharing a store.

How can I change the location of the local folders in Outlook
Express. I would like to share the local folders with another user,
so I would like to put the folder in a location that can be accessed
by both of us, ie - a folder in c:\Mail
