Default Where does Pocket Outlook store text messages?

This was indeed a big mistake on Microsoft's part. The folks at Microsoft
thought that the (vast?) majority of hard resets are because of depleted
batteries. It's true that, mostly with novice PPC users, depleted batteries
sometimes did caus eproblems like this. With an advanced PPC user, these
cases are very rare.

However, backup/restore functionality would be needed in a LOT of other
cases - for example, with program testing.

This q BTW has been widely discussed on many PPC boards (and also in my
blog).

ActiveSync 4.1 Help states "Backing up and restoring information is
available only for Windows Mobile software for Smartphone 2003 and earlier
and Windows Mobile software for Pocket PC 2003 and earlier."

Why has this option been removed for Windows Mobile 5.0? Seems an unusual
decision...
