Default Meeting disappears in calendar?

Hello, recently we got this peculiar behaviour that after adding a meeting
to the Calendar it disappears after just 30 seconds which is a shame. The
mail account acts the same no matter which computer you use so it must be a
phenomena at the server side?
Is this a specific setting that might have been accidently triggered from
Outlook and if so, how do you restore it?
