Default Transferring Outlook 2002 info WITHOUT having create .pst

Why should I not import the .PST?

You're missing the point. If you have your old drive connected, then your
old PST should still be on that drive unless you took steps to wipe it out,
Look in
D:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook. If you see a PST there, that's probably your old
data. Open it with FileOpenOutlook Data File. Never import from a PST.
