Click ToolsOptionsE-mail OptionsAdvanced E-mail Options and examine
the box labeled "In folders other than the Inbox, save replies with
original messages". Is it checked or not? If so, the behavior you're
seeing is perfectly normal and doesn't mean the replies aren't being
sent. They are, but instead of being saved in Sent Items, they're being
saved in the same folder as the original message _because you told
Outlook to do so_.
