outlook 2003 multiple profiles on W2K workstation
In ups.com,
typed:
I'm having a problem getting Outlook 2003 to work with multiple
profiles on a W2K workstation. Basically, we have one userid which is
used by several people to logon to the workstation, but each user has
individual email accounts. I've tried to setup outlook 2003 to have
multiple profiles - one for each user, but it isn't working. Can
anyone assist? Is there a workaround or fix to this?
I've tried looking on technet but can't find anything
Cheers
Dave
Frankly, I'd be more inclined to give each user their own Windows login
account. That said, what have you tried, exactly?
In control panel, mail, you should be able to see the spot where you tell
Outlook 'prompt for a profile'.
If outlook.exe is still running in the background after the user thinks he's
closed Outlook, the next user won't be prompted (but will resume the
previous user's Outlook session). This can happen with add-in software such
as handheld/sync stuff....if your users aren't getting prompted when they
expect to be, check taskmanager to see if the executable is still running in
the processes tab.
