Default Outlook XP to 2003

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! My lovely wife finally bit the bullet and
let me switch her email to her laptop and, with your help and guidance, it
went smoothly. I did have to "renew" the rule I created to send her emails
from her second account to a seperate Inbox but that too went smoothly.
Thanks again for your support.

I followed the link and found .pst, .pab, .ost and others but there
are no files like that on my wifes present pc.

Yes there are. They are in hidden folders and you must enable viewing
hidden files and folders to see them or you have to open the hidden folders
directly. For example, open Windows Explorer and enter

%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook

in the Address field. Click Go. You'll see the files.

Being the paranoid
fool that I am and not wanting to screw up the wife's email, I have
another question. If I copy over the .pst file she has, if
everything doesn't go as it should, can I replace it with the
"original" .pst file and start over?

Never replace one PST with another of the same name. See if this
information helps:
