Either you have a corrupt deleted items folder or a corrupt inbox or both.
The best you could do now would be to first do points 2 and 3 here :

Then go to File | Identities and setup a new Identity and then import from
the older identity (File | Import). That will give a new and non-corrupt
message store.
You could just copy the messages from the deleted items folder to another
one and from the inbox to another one and then with OE closed delete those
two dbx files (or move them to another directory) and OE will create new
ones, but you may have other corruption issues, and setting up a new
Identity is probably a better means to fix the issues.
