Default Desktop icon for Public Calendar

Yup, saw this last night:
Make sure you can see both the Public Folder object and your desktop,
then just click and drag the folder to your desktop while holding down
the CTRL key. You have your shortcut.

Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to e-mail it (I think, could
be wrong), but you can put this same shortcut within a shared folder and
then other persons can copy it from the share onto their desktop for
double click action.

Is it possible? To put an icon on my desktop for my staff calendar

Without opening Outlook? No.
