Jim,
E-mails are formatted into Rich Text (HTML).
O.E. 6 only 'hangs up' when I click on an image (jpg or gif) or the 'Browse'
button
to go to another folder. Must use ctrl/alt/del to get away from e-mail.
Never had this problem with WinXP Home.
Only now on new machine with WinXP media.
Thanks for reading and replying,
drybones

Are the emails you are attempting to insert a graphic image into,
formatted as HTML? You cannot insert a picture into a Plain Text
formatted message.
If you are using HTML formatting and getting the error, then it's quite
possible that your existing identity has been corrupted. Try creating a
new identity, switch to it and create a mail account and test inserting an
image. If that works, you can import your messages from the old identity.

Curser is in thesection below the Subject line.
With or without any typing of words; when I use the 'Insert', tnen
a window pops up asking which image or 'Browse' I get a lockup
of O.E. by selecting Browse.
I can 'Attach' images but not 'Browse' to another source than the
alreadyselected Windows Temp folder.
Can someone please pint me to a'fix'?
Many thanks for reading and hopefully replying.
