Default Receiving mail no prob, Won't send?? was working fine till now

Changing the port to 587 worked beautifully! Thanks I see to both Michael
and Norman, although I received an email notification of Norman's post. No
matter, great fix and all is well. So thanks bunches, as I was going nuts
when all the other fixes I was reading about didn't work for me.
Blessings upon you both :-)

I'm getting this error... The connection to the server has failed. Account:
'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com', Server: 'smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Can anyone help me with this? Thank you.

I just wantded to add to this post that my virus program is already disabled
from my emailing program. I've already read the other posts and they aren't
helping me solve this problem unless there's something I've missed in them.
None of this is making any sense to me, because it was working just fine and
I haven't changed a single setting. I'm just on a different wireless network
in a different hotel, but it's allowing me to receive mail just fine. I
simply can't send any.... obviously quite frustrating. Please help if you
can. Thank you. The error I received is cut and pasted in my original post
here.

Tools Accounts Mail Properties. For your at&t Yahoo! HSI
(sbcglobal.net) account, on the Advanced tab, change port 25 to port
587.

The network that you are using is probably blocking outbound port 25 to
SMTP servers other than their own. 'Smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com' will
respond to port 587. Just be sure that you also have checked "My server
requires authentication.
