Hi Fred,
That's why I wrote the OEX program. You can just click a button and all the
attachments are removed and also they can also be all saved separately from
the OE message store.
You can save a message to the desktop by dragging it from OE and dropping
it.
cheers,
steve

Thanks, Steve, but you have to remember... you're dealing with someone who
can barely walk on his hind legs here... :OD
Probably way to elementary, but that's where I am....
How do I save a message to the desktop?
See what I mean?

You can save the message to the desktop, then open it in Notepad and edit
out the attachment and then drag the edited message back into OE.

Maybe I overlooked something -- is there a way using OE6 to do this,
without
having to use a 3rd party program?

Thanks -- is there a freeware program that does it?

Save the message to the Desktop. File | Save as | Desktop | Save.
Open
it
with Notepad. Highlight and delete the attachment and drag the
message
back
to a folder in OE.
If you get a lot, this tool does this and more. You might find it
worthwhile.

I am using OE6. Is there a way to remove attachments from email
received
so that I can keep the message but without the attachment?
Thanks in advance!
Fred
