Actually I am asking here because no one in the OE NG had a clue as to how
to import dbx files which for some reason aren't imported by the simple
import function. So I thought that I might be able to import them into the
..pst file and then possibly export them back to OE (or at least use them in
some folder in outlook itself)

See if anything here helps with OE as you need to have your mail
accessible
in OE before you can export to OL, on the same PC

or post to an OE ng, part of IE ng's I believe

I have outlook express running on my XP home computer and want to
transfer
everything in it to a new computer. I understand I have to import the
mailboxes into OE because one can no longer export .iaf files from
Outlook.
Before I do that, I also have had numerous hard drive crashes which have
resulted in retrieved .dbx files of anything up to 12 MB in size. I
suppose
these must be my inbox files which may well be kinda important. They were
probably created using the same version of Outlook Express 5 or 6 which I
have been using for some years now.
I would like to consolidate all these files before using Quick Backup to
back everything up and importing everything to the new computer but cant
import them into outlook express whose import function doesn't recognise
them as proper .dbx files.
Is there any way of importing the folder containing them or the files
themselves into Outlook?
