that's ok; the original issue is still what i'd like to resolve...I do get
the New Item Alerts message as outlined previously but it seems to defeat

purpose of it if I can only view messages, no Delete No replying. I have
to
close out and return to Outlook's "main" window and do all tasks from
there.
Is this all the feature allows and I could be misunderstsanding its use?
